Leave the hustle and bustle of Houston behind and drive to Needville within an hour. Here lies the beautiful Brazos Bend State Park, an ideal place for nature lovers. On Saturdays, you can visit the George Observatory, which is part of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, from 3 to 10 p.m. The meteorite exhibit is fascinating and the satellites allow you to get a little closer to the night stars.
