The Goldfield School District serves the majority of the county and consists of three schools, including one high school. The Silver Peak School District serves students in the western part of the county and consists of two schools, including one high school. The largest high school in Esmeralda County is Goldfield High School located within the Goldfield School District. This comprehensive public high school offers a wide range of college preparatory classes, career readiness programs such as business or finance, and Advanced Placement courses. According to medicinelearners, Nevada is home to two highly respected medical schools, the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and the Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine. The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine offers a four-year MD program that focuses on providing students with an in-depth understanding of medical knowledge and skills. This school also provides dual degree programs such as MD/MPH (Master of Public Health) and MD/MBA (Master of Business Administration). In addition to its academic offerings, this university also has an active student organization which provides members with resources, networking opportunities, and mentorship from experienced professionals. The Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine is another excellent medical school located in Henderson. This college offers a four-year DO program with a focus on providing students with the most up-to-date medical knowledge and skills. In addition to its academic offerings, this school also provides students with hands-on experience through its residency program which allows them to gain valuable clinical experience while working alongside experienced providers from around the state. The school also provides dual degree programs such as DO/MPH (Master of Public Health) and DO/MBA (Master of Business Administration).
