Grand Opera House in Wilmington
The Grand Opera House, also known as The Grand or Masonic Hall and Grand Theater, in the city of Wilmington is a venue for operas and plays. The Grand Opera House was built in 1871 in the Second Empire style. At that time, however, the building still served as a Masonic temple. From the 1930s to 1967, however, it functioned as a cinema. Since 1971 it has been the venue for the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, OperaDelaware and First State Ballet Theaters. The building has been on the list of Historic Places since 1972.

DuPont Building in Wilmington
The DuPont Building in the city of Wilmington dates from 1923 and is one of the first high-rise buildings in the city. The DuPont Building was built in various phases from 1907 to 1923. The DuPont Building is located in downtown Rodney Square. Nowadays the DuPont Building has 13 floors and a height of approx. 38 m. Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington
The Delaware Art Museum in the city of Wilmington is by far the best art museum in the state. The Delaware Art Museum was founded in 1912, but under the name Wilmington Society of the Fine Arts. The museum’s collection comprises a total of over 12,000 objects. The focus of the collection is on American art from the 19th to the 21st centuries. Another highlight of the collection are the works of the Pre-Raphaelites, it is the most important of its kind outside of Great Britain. Also connected to the museum is the approximately 36,000 m² sculpture garden, in which a labyrinth can also be found.

Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts in Wilmington
The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts in the city of Wilmington is the only contemporary art museum in Delaware. The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts was founded in 1979 and after moving in 2000, it is located on the banks of the Christina River. The museum’s reaction to the financial crisis attracted particular attention. As a result of this, it was decided to cut the admission price in order to continue to allow as many people as possible to visit. The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts offers 7 galleries and 26 studios with changing exhibitions on an exhibition area of ​​approx. 3250 m².

Delaware Museum of Natural History in Greenville
The Delaware Museum of Natural History in the small town of Greenville in northern Delaware was founded in 1957 and opened to the public in 1972. It is the oldest natural history museum in the state. Special features of the collection are the thematic area of ​​mussels, birds and their eggs. The museum consequently has the largest collection of bird eggs in North America.

Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover
The Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover City is an aviation museum located in hangar 1301 of Dover Air Force Base. The museum specializes in the history of air transport and refueling during the flight. The museum is not only dedicated to the aircraft, but also to the people who make all of this possible. First State National Monument
The First State National Monument is a relatively young State Monument and the only one in the state of Delaware. It was established in 2013 and deals with the history of Delaware as the first signatory to the US Constitution. The First State National Monument is not an actual monument, but comprises several important monuments and thus enhances their status. The First State National Monument includes Dover Green, New Castle Court House Museum, Sheriff’s House, and Woodlawn Tract.
