In issue 5 of Runner’s World, we will present a test of different GPS-watches. But this is an area where there will be new models. Last in line is the Nike with its first GPS watch and Polar with a new version designed for triathletes. Runner’s World has not had time to test any of the clocks yet but we will return safely to the topic later.
Nike + Sportwatch GPS
Although the shoe and clothing manufacturer Nike earlier had watches in its range, it is kept now as they launch a version with built-in GPS. According to the company, Nike + Sportwatch GPS is designed to be simple but clear and three buttons and a touch screen control navigation.
The watch’s GPS unit collects of course, information on time, distance, pace and number of calories burned. During the whole training session sync GPS also with Nike + sensor in the skonför to deliver as accurate data as possible on the distance and pace. Nike Watch has been developed in conjunction with the GPS-maker TomTom and should work for both Mac and PC computers.

Polar Cs500 +
